HAM!!

Post  Admin on Tue May 10, 2011 9:45 am

Product is from USA, like the Christmas bone in Gammon Ham, but as Berkshire Kurobuta. It's Uncured, Nitrate free ham. Nitrate free is the newest way to make process items. In the old way, nitrate or nitrites. is added to cured meat. We use starter culture extract from celery to bring the natural nitrate from meat to cured meat. This is what market call all natural Ham ... or uncured ham. This allowed us to use all natural ingredients and not add any preservative or chemical in the making of our ham.

I never been to any of their outlets, fact is, the warehouse is closer and the Sales manager knows me well,
think CBS knows him as well. Mr.Low.

I'm getting the ham because I want to cook something different, "Fried Paleo RICE" using this Ham, ground mutton, boiled eggs, (diced) sambal chili, (self made) using coconut oil and butter to fry everything. Razz

MO, I finally dropped by the BH warehouse yesterday, wah so much nearer and well stocked too. dunno if u were there at 1pm. if u saw Black Mark X, that was me. i did not see the Berkshire ham, even tho i asked for it. I only bot the japanese kurobota pork which was quite exp (4 slices for $12) - but will always try and see once and see if worth it.

also tried the japanese char siew meat roll - its coated with seasoning, but the fat was damn good .... lol

Cannot remember leh, was there round 11+, left 12pm, Fresh stalked me there. Nb~. Razz
Kurobota is nice, but very very expensive, I just buy the normal pork they have, from brazil.
The ham was available, but not sliced, as their machines were cutting raw meat, so cannot slice the ham,
Think Fresh saw the ham taken out to show me. sunny Got lobang Mah!

Next time MU here lor. tongue

Hmm...then next time, fucking well put on your dentures when you eat! Very Happy Very Happy

Striploin not tough if cooked proper. Then again your definition of tough, might well be alright to all of us.
I was stir frying the sliced beef, in packets, mixed with liver, was alright to all of us, except my wife and sister,
who said it was a "little" tough. Err....your mouth like ku niang? Razz Razz
